Hi — we're Vivi and Aries.

NHOI started because Vivi's jewellery box was full of things designed not to be noticed. Tiny, tasteful, safe. At some point grown-up jewellery just became beige jewellery, and we never agreed to that.

Everyone's still a bit of a kid underneath. Most of adult life is set up to keep that quiet, and earrings are the easiest way around it — the smallest possible place to put a personality where someone will still spot it.

We're not fishing for compliments. We want the question.

So everything gets a name and a story. The astronaut who needs space. The tabby who won't share his fish. The apple that's been bitten and has jokes about it.

Boring is the only thing we won't do

Gold hoops. Silver studs. A tiny bar on a tiny chain. The jewellery aisle hasn't changed in twenty years, and somewhere in there “tasteful” quietly started meaning “invisible.” We're not against subtle. We're against jewellery with nothing to say.
